Ordinary Mail
Sending your letter or package the traditional way is a quick and easy process. You can send letters or packages domestically or internationally. No identification is required for sending regular mail.
Sending Ordinary Mail
- To send your mail locally or internationally, the process is to purchase an envelope get it weighed and purchase the postage stamp required.
- Local mail takes 2-5 days for delivery.
- It takes 7 – 9 days to deliver your letters, post cards and documents internationally.
- International mail takes 10 – 15 days via letter packet.
- International letter packets requires a customs declaration form.
The modes of transportation that are available for sending your mail internationally:
- Airmail
- Surface Air Lift (SAL)
Airmail is a speedier way to post your mail than Surface Air Lift (SAL).
LITERATURE FOR THE BLIND not exceeding a maximum of 7kg is free of cost.
Receiving Ordinary Mail
- Your mail and letter packets are delivered to your home via postman/postal currier conditions applied.
- You are required to come in to the post office to collect a packet if it is too large to be brought out by the postal currier that serve your home. With that a notice will be left in your mail box informing you to collect the mail at the post office.
- Customers with a letter box will get a registered notice/green slip inside their box advising them of a registered item that required to be retrieved from within the post office.
